Board Recruitment Announcement  

 FAR Therapeutic Arts and Recreation, our region’s leading provider of creative art and recreational therapies for individuals with disabilities for 70 years, is seeking volunteer leaders to join its board of directors.

 .Board members are actively involved in organizational governance and are expected to attend at least 6 of 9 of the monthly board meetings, participate in at least one board committee, make a personal financial contribution, raise at least $750 annually (includes personal contribution), and manage at least three donor or community partner relationships. 

 Based on our recent review of board skills, connections, and live experiences among current Board members, we are seeking new board members who will help broaden our current board. For this reason, we encourage applications from accounting, legal, and media expertise, as well as those connected to the local workforce development agency, foundations, organized labor, cultural organizations, and advocacy for individuals with disabilities.
